Pilot experience to test the workshop activities

February 25th 2021

Students of the Master of Teacher Training (Physical Educationspecialization) participated on 25 February in the training workshop on "Critical Pedagogies of Digital Health for Physical Education Teachers". During a two-hour session, developed either in online orface-to-face format, 21 Master's students participated.

In these workshops, first, we presented the project and justified the need for a critical approach to young people's learning about their health through digital technologies. Second, we developed some practical activities to explore the different meanings that can be given to something as seemingly objective as the digital data we collect about our health and health behaviors. The practical activities used were rated as quite interesting by the participants. They valued as meaningful the way in which the activities opened up new possibilities to think differently about one's own data.

For the implementation of the workshop, the research team coordinated by Maria José Camacho (Facultyof Education, UCM) had the collaboration of Noemí Ávila (Faculty of Education,UCM), specialist in art and health; Marta Arévalo (University of Alcalá) and Ana Fernández Gándara (University of Valladolid), both specialists in body expression and creativity
