New project presented at the Spanish Call
This new project responds to the urgent need of involving young people in how to address the gap related to the absence of critical education about digital health in schools. Therefore, we aim to co-develop with young people innovative and critical pedagogical ideas about digital health technologies in schools, informed by a deep understanding of the meanings, contexts and social factors that shape Spanish young people’s relation with digital health.

Abstract proposal accepted in ‘Learning, Media & Technology’ journal
Our abstract proposal to the special issue on 'Rethinking the boundaries of learning in a digital age' in the prestigious journal ‘Learning, Media & Technology’ has been accepted. Therefore, we are invited to submit the full paper. This is being led by Kristiina Kumpulainen and Kemal Ahson of the University of Helsinki (with Camacho-Miñano, Shirley and Rich, as coathors).

Developing the pedagogical principles for critical digital health pedagogies
Through the last months, our research team has been working hard to develop some pedagogical principles as ‘line of flight’ of our critical approach to digital health pedagogies, with the aim to work with teachers to co-develop PE activities.

Pilot experience to test the workshop activities
Students of the Master of Teacher Training (Physical Education specialization) participated on 25 February in the training workshop on "Critical Pedagogies of Digital Health for Physical Education Teachers". During a two-hour session, developed either in online or face-to-face format, 21 Master's students participated.

Abstracts submitted to ECER 2021 Congress, Geneva (online)
We aim to participate in the European Education Research Association Congress, to be hold in Geneva (but online), 6-9 June. We submitted a symposium, which will start with a brief overview of the UNA Europe project including the research purposes and methods we aim to implement, as well as the nature of our collaborative work.
